Big Game Azores 2013: resume

Resume of the 3 days for us:

1st day: Full power for Marlin because Marlins give more points but no bites…
2nd day: Half power for tuna and 1 Wahoo with 21 kg and 1 Bigeye with 85 kg
3rd day: Full power for tuna and 4 Bigeyes with 108, 101 ( in the photo), 52, 48 kg

At the end and made all the sums, a total of 26 Bigeyes, 1 Albacore, 1 Wahoo and 1 White Marlin were caught in 3 days for 11 boats.

We stayed in 2nd place just 5 kg for the 1st! Unfortunately, we arrived 15 min later on the 2nd day because we were working with the Bigeye and that made us lose precious points. Nothing we could do and doesn’t matter!
The most important was all the atmosphere between the teams and the promotion, once again, of the Azores as a prime destination for Big Game Fishing.

Congratulations to the organization for more this great event, all teams and, in particular, for the local and winner team, Seazores.

Final classification:
1st – Seazores (Local)
2nd – Team Sweden (Sweden)
3rd – Barca Velha (Portugal Mainland)

Still, our Skipper/Deck mate Miguel Furtado took home the award for best photo.

Hopefully the next year will be the same or even better!
